I have been blessed to have won a truly wonderful award at the Cardinia Grand Art Exhibition....my portrait of a little girl with her teddy 'Sad' has won first prize in the 'A La Mode' category, that is-" open section, all mediums". The prize was unexpected and I'm grateful beyond belief. The standard in this show is always extremely high, and it has attracted artists who are renouned in their chosen mediums for excellence. This beautiful woman passed on 5/1/2014 from a brain tumor, after finding it on 18/ 9/2013. She leaves two boys, Mickyle and Lochlan, both under 6 yrs. It was an honour to this portrait, one of two, the other is in oils.
