“Every now and then the lense will capture a soul. This is Hudson Charles, my little one. For me, this is more than a portrait- a likeness, an expression or face. It is an intense glimpse into an exclusive moment of character and mood, where Hudson was undisturbed by myself, the camera and the environment. He was in his own place, pondering something important to him and his world as a three year old. Hudsons depth of expression also ‘drew me in’ when I was completing this work as I contemplated what was behind his eyes......and perhaps, my life experience has been caught in this too. It is a work for him to carry forward in his life, a permanent record of intensity and thought, a reminder of who he was when we all saw what he might be, a portrait of promise.”
